Silentbloc type ventilators are purposely designed to offer sound attenuating capabilities. Independent tests have demonstrated other smaller slot or glazed-in ‘acoustic’ ventilators do not give any significant improvement in the acoustic performance of a window complying with background ventilation requirements, compared to one using standard non-acoustic ventilators.

GLASS REDUCTION
A minimum dimension of 2 1/8” (including gasket) should
be considered. This dimension should be increased for any allowances in fitting beads, gaskets etc., or for manufacturing tolerances.
