TERMS

In the unlikely event of mechanical failure of an Asterion II 3 Star Cylinder within the 10 year guarantee period as a result of defective manufacture or design, Titon Hardware Ltd will replace it free of charge or credit its original purchase value. The product must be returned to Titon or inspected by us on site to agree the cause of failure. The credit shall not exceed the original value of the part.

This guarantee does not apply to any mechanical or surface finish fault if it is caused by wilful or neglectful damage, general wear and tear or inappropriate chemical contact. It also does not apply to surface finishes if the product is installed within 0.5 miles of an area with aggressive atmospheric conditions, such as coastal or heavy industrial regions.

CONDITIONS

The Asterion II 3 Star Cylinder extended guarantee is only valid when the following terms and conditions are met in full:

The guarantee must have been registered within 30 days of purchase by visiting titon.com/asterion-warranty

Proof of purchase must be available.

This guarantee shall not operate or will have no effect if the hardware has been incorrectly installed, adjusted, maintained, and operated.

Guidance from the Master Locksmiths Association states that ‘the Cylinder should not protrude more than 3mm from the external handle and ideally should be completely flush’.*
Titon recommends regular lubrication of your Asterion II 3 Star cylinder to ensure performance and operation. We recommend using our Asterion graphite powder which can be purchased separately.

A small amount of powder should be applied or puffed into the cylinder. Rotate the key a couple of times in line with the normal locking function.

Genuine Titon keys must be used.

No modifications, repairs, or alterations should be made to the cylinder.

Titon's decision is final in respect of correct installation and maintenance instructions have been followed and that no modifications have taken place.

Claims are subject to the property being occupied, furnished, and in residential use. The guarantee is applicable to residential properties in the UK and Eire. Commercial properties are excluded.

Claims should be notified and submitted with supporting documentary evidence to Titon within the time limits detailed above. Failure to comply may invalidate the claim.

This guarantee is non-transferable.

The extended Asterion II cylinder gurantee is valid for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase after completion of the registration, otherwise a standard warranty of one year applies.
