Test and Validation Engineer

Role Description
Titon is looking for a Test and Validation Engineer to join our Research & Development team. This role is central to ensuring our ventilation products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
You’ll take ownership of internal testing capability - designing and developing test systems, analysing data, and delivering insights that directly influence product innovation and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and continuously improve test rigs, instrumentation, and automated test systems
- Plan and execute product and component testing to support development and compliance
- Develop and maintain test methods, standards, and laboratory equipment
- Implement and enhance automated testing solutions (e.g. LabVIEW)
- Lead or support accelerated life and reliability testing initiatives
- Analyse test data to identify trends and provide actionable engineering insights
- Produce clear, accurate technical reports and validation documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Production
- Work with external laboratories and certification bodies where required
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards within testing environments
What You’ll Bring (Essential)
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline
- Experience designing/building test rigs or laboratory equipment
- Strong understanding of test methods, instrumentation, and data acquisition
- Experience with test automation systems (e.g. LabVIEW)
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret engineering data
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into practical insights
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
- Knowledge of engineering standards and validation processes
Desirable Skills
- Experience with HVAC, ventilation, or air movement systems
- Knowledge of accelerated life testing or environmental testing
- Familiarity with industry standards for building services or ventilation
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, or advanced Excel
- Understanding of airflow, pressure, temperature, or environmental instrumentation
