Titon has recently purchased a new Amada Punch Press for its sheet metal production area at its state of the art manufacturing site in Haverhill, Suffolk.
The new punch press was purchased for a substantial six figure investment and will enable Titon to develop its current manufacturing processes.
As part of Titon’s continuous development programme, it was decided that the current CNC punch press needed upgrading and substantial investment was required to help support the increased production at the manufacturing site.
Commenting on the new purchase, Lionel Holmes – Operations Director stated:
“The old punch press would not have been able to keep up with future demand levels, which could have led to delays in distribution to customers. The new punch press will enable us to manufacture our popular product ranges such as the HRV Q Plus MVHR, Trimbox NO2 Filter® Box and the new Titon FireSafe® Air Brick more efficiently, cope with future demand and enable Titon to meet our customers’ requirements more effectively.”
The development will allow the manufacturing site to grow and expand when necessary. The location area was re-designed and planned out to optimise the working area efficiently whilst paying attention to health and safety.
The investment also adheres to Titon’s dedication to its green credentials; the new punch press runs on electric rather than electric hydraulic therefore using less energy over a period of time. Titon is committed to environmental management systems and was awarded ISO14001 in 2007 and continues to make changes to procedures and materials to benefit the environment.
